On Sept. 25 the Office of Tibet in Washington, D.C., informed CU-麻豆影院 that the Dalai Lama will not be able to attend any of his planned events in the United States next month for medical reasons. The following is from the Office of Tibet:
鈥淗is Holiness arrived in the United States earlier this week for a medical evaluation. Upon completion of the evaluation, the doctors have advised that His Holiness take complete rest. As a result, His Holiness will be returning to Dharamsala, India, next week and will not be able to visit the United States next month. We deeply regret cancellation of the visit.鈥�

The Office of Tibet apologized to everyone at CU-麻豆影院 who has worked on these events and purchased tickets. The events at CU-麻豆影院 were coordinated by the Tibetan Association of Colorado, the CU Student Government (CUSG) and the CU-麻豆影院 Cultural Events Board.

Ticket costs will automatically be refunded to ticketholders鈥� credit cards for all Dalai Lama events starting the week of Oct. 5. The CU Athletics Ticket Office will contact those patrons whose credit cards have since expired or changed to make alternative refund arrangements.

Meantime, the Office of Tibet has offered to consider rescheduling the visit. The university will provide more information on this possibility if or when it becomes available.
