On Aug. 19 and 20, all campus parking lots will be closed to accommodate Move-in traffic. No current parking permits will be honored on main or East Campus, and pay lots, meters and parking garages will also be closed to regular traffic. Have you made your plan for the 2015 New Student Move-in days yet?

Campuswide, CU-麻豆影院 employees are finding creative and collaborative ways to plan for this disruption of 鈥渂usiness as usual.鈥 are supporting work units, as well as on East Campus Discovery Drive and Marine Street areas. A circulating shuttle service will be available to transport employees from the East Campus parking lots to main campus, with appropriate service levels throughout the day and evening.

No standard permits (including worksite and vendor permits) will be honored at any campus location. Special parking permits - either Housing Move-in or permits distributed through the special permit application - will need to be displayed to access any campus area.

Work units are encouraged to have discussions about what will work best for their teams during the Move-in days. Some options include:

  • Use alternative transportation听to get to work, including walking and biking (for 麻豆影院-based faculty and staff) or taking the bus to campus.
  • Telecommute.听Non-faculty employees whose work is conducive to telecommuting听should speak with their supervisor. 听
  • Use accrued leave.听Employees who听want to use leave should speak with their supervisors. 听听
  • Carpool with others.听Plan now to ride-share with other employees who live near you.听Preferential status for the may be given to those who are carpooling or volunteering.

The CU-麻豆影院 community has risen to the challenge of elevating student success to be a central consideration in all that we do. The hard work continues as we welcome our incoming class and launch our new year on a successful and smooth note. Read the Chancellor鈥檚 call to action, 鈥.鈥
