Designed with CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 artists, creators, coders and makers in mind, March Mayhem Week features successful professionals operating at the intersection of technology, arts, entertainment and engineering. And they are keen to share their experience and expertise with the CU community.听
On Monday, the week kicks off with a presentation on gaming and game development by Megan Fox, co-founder of the 麻豆影院-based, Indie game company, Glass Bottom Games. Fox will share her experience as an entrepreneur in the gaming industry, and looks forward to answering questions from those interested in a similar career.听
On Wednesday, the focus shifts to toys, with a panel discussion titled, 鈥淭oy Stories: Invention to Creation,鈥� which will explore the process of turning an idea into a manufactured product. Panelists include CU alumnus Nathan Seidle, CEO of SparkFun; Ian Bernstein, founder of Sphero; and Erik Schweikardt, inventor of Modular Robotics.
On Friday, Japanese guests Kazunori "Uhyo" Sugiura and Masaaki "Saikawa" Sato will discuss 鈥淛apanese Otaku Culture and its International Impact,鈥� providing an introduction to the popular subculture and sharing their insight into current trends in the manga, cosplay and anime communities.
In addition to visiting programmers, entrepreneurs and artists, the (the new hacker space) and the (TAM) will host open houses and information sessions focused on new projects and programs at ATLAS. Undergraduate students will have the opportunity to learn about TAM鈥檚 popular and , and College of Engineering and Applied Science students will have a chance to hear about the new launching fall 2015.
