By the University of Colorado Student Government
We are excited to announce that the CU Student Government (CUSG) has created a new Student Activities Office on campus! The decision was made official December 2014 and this new office is planning to open in the beginning of the 2015 Fall semester. This new office combines the functions and staff of the Student Organizations Finance Office (SOFO) and the Student Involvement Office. The purpose of this office is to create a centralized location where student groups and organizations can receive advising, financial guidance, programming, event support and leadership development.
Over the next semester CUSG will be hosting a series of focus groups and open forums where students will be invited to come and give their opinions and ideas on how the new office should operate, as well as what they hope to see from the Student Activities Office.ÌýThe first open forum will be held by the Tri-Executives and will be on Feb. 16,Ìýstarting at 5 p.m. and going until 6:30 p.m. This event will be held in Hellems 211 and food will be provided.
All students are welcome at this event! Receiving student input on the Student Activities Office is the first, and most important, step in creating a Student Activities Office that is easy to navigate and serves all students.
