You might still be recovering from holiday shopping, but if you’re in a relationship, you (or your partner) might have Valentine’s Day on the mind. With some planning and sticking to your budget, you should be able to enjoy a fun, low-cost evening that won’t leave you strapped for cash.
Check out our five simple and inexpensive date night options for Valentine’s Day—or any day:
- Scavenger Hunt—create a scavenger hunt looking for free items, like an old movie ticket, a bus map, a grocery receipt.
- Hike a trail that you’ve never done before—exploring a new place together is fun and neither of you will get bored with a trail you’ve never done before.
- Bowling or ice skating—the UMC offers bowling for only $5.50 or try ice skating at the 29thÌýStreet Mall for $8.
- Go on a group date with friends—get some other couples together, a few board games, and head to a coffee shop to play. Games such as "Cards Against Humanity," "Scrabble," or "Trivial Pursuit" are a fun way to have an inexpensive evening. Some places even have a few games that you can borrow.Ìý
