FSAP Workshop: Desk Yoga

Take a break from your hectic schedule and learn to release your stress with some non-sweaty office yoga and guided meditation. This class is for every Body and is designed for you to participate in your work clothes. You鈥檒l learn breathing exercises, gentle stretches, and basic sequences of movements as well as some meditation techniques especially for beginners.

There is substantial scholarly research to support the following benefits from a regular yoga practice: reduced stress, lower blood pressure, mental clarity, flexibility, and healthy joint mobility. In fact, if the positive effects of yoga and meditation came in pill form, it would be the breakthrough drug of the century!听

FSAP Group: Strategies for Stress-Reduction听

Stress reduction is a concern for everyone in these busy and uncertain times. In this educational and participatory workshop series, we will learn and practice several different effective strategies for reducing everyday life stress, including mindfulness, meditation, yoga, visualization, guided imagery, cognitive restructuring, emotional health and regulation. Participants are encouraged to commit to attending all eight sessions. The group will meet once a week for an hour and a half.听

FSAP Workshop: Understanding Credit: How to Read Your Credit Report and Improve Your Credit Score

OED Program: The Highly Effective Manager听

**Managing the CU-麻豆影院 Way is a critical prerequisite for all supervisors who wish to participate in The Highly Effective Manager. Please ensure completion of MCBW prior to taking this course.听

The 鈥淗ighly Effective Manager鈥 (HEM) training course consists of four half-days with an emphasis on the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to be a successful manager at CU-麻豆影院. The training approach will primarily focus on helping participants understand best practices in supervising staff and help them gain a better understanding of their own management style.听

Participants will learn the following in an interactive and engaging training environment:
鈥 Understand the role supervisors play on CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 campus听
鈥 Support and inspire employees with the CU-麻豆影院 Culture of Engagement
鈥 Explore management styles with regards to motivation, delegation and development through the use of the DiSC Management behavioral assessment听
鈥 Recognize the importance of a manager鈥檚 role in communicating with employees and leadership on campus
鈥 Discover supervision practices that promote inclusion and an appreciation for diversity听
鈥 Acquire best practices when navigating conflict in the workplace
鈥 Develop successful team work and problem solving skills through survival simulation
