Over the last academic year CU Student Government (CUSG), the 麻豆影院 Faculty Assembly (BFA), and the Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) in the Provost鈥檚 office have been working collaboratively to develop strategies to address campus climate issues.
While the goal of promoting a positive campus climate is common to students, faculty, staff, and the administration, each group brings unique perspectives to this important issue. Consequently, we are announcing the co-hosting of a series of structured discussions where students, faculty, staff and administrators can exchange ideas on the many aspects of campus climate including topics such as classroom expectations and responsibilities, the principles guiding civil discourse among and between students, staff and faculty, and how we can respect, support and celebrate all identities in and out of the classroom.
The series of campus discussions to address these and other campus climate topics will be held on Sept. 17, Oct. 7, and Nov. 14, 2014, from noon-1:30 p.m. in the UMC Gallery Room. More details on specific programming will be forthcoming at the beginning of the fall semester. We encourage you to contact us to submit specific topics of interest that you would like to put forward as possible areas of discussion in these meetings.
Sincerely,
