Earlier this semester, CU-麻豆影院 Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano announced that the campus would be closed to unauthorized visitors for the third consecutive year on April 20. This closure from 12 to 6 p.m. is necessary to avoid serious disruptions to the university鈥檚 academic mission of research, teaching and learning.
The campus remains open to all students, faculty and staff. The university appreciates that some non-affiliates will have legitimate business on the main campus from 12 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2014, and is today announcing procedures for authorized visitors to gain access.
Visitors who have official business, meetings or other officially sanctioned activities on the CU-麻豆影院 campus can obtain a visitors鈥� pass by visiting the following link and filling out the form at . Forms for visitors must be completed and submitted to CU-麻豆影院听by 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 13.
Students who are being picked up or dropped off by parents or other non-affiliates during the closure period can do so in Parking Lot 436 North (just north of the Regent AutoPark) without the need for visitors鈥� credentials. Those without credentials, however, cannot remain in this lot.
Students, faculty and staff will be asked to present their Buff OneCard IDs at campus entrances, Williams Village Buff Bus loading areas and other locations. Consistent with prior years鈥� protocol, law enforcement officers will politely and professionally engage those wishing to enter the campus to ascertain if they are affiliates or approved visitors. Those unaffiliated with CU-麻豆影院, or who are not approved visitors, will not be permitted on campus.
