FSAP Workshop: 20 Minute Workouts at Work听

Sometimes it is impossible to get away from your desk in order to be active on any given day. In this presentation we will share tips and tools to make being active possible on a daily basis. You will walk away with workout ideas that can be accomplished in 20 minutes plus receive a bonus program plan that provides movement right at your desk. After all, there are those days when you just can鈥檛 get away, now you can keep your commitment to stay active each and every day. No prior experience or special equipment needed, just come on in Feb. 20 and be prepared to move.

OED Seminar: Promoting a Respectful Working Environment听

Nearly everyone would say they want a 鈥渞espectful鈥 working environment. But what does that look like? And what does it take to develop and/or maintain such an environment? In this interactive three-hour workshop participants will examine the roots, behaviors, and benefits of a respectful working environment. They will experience key aspects of a process designed to help groups identify respectful workplace norms for communication 鈥 especially when engaged in conflict. And, they will view and discuss a video presentation about one of the biggest communication challenges: giving and receiving criticism in the workplace.听

FSAP Group: Strategies for Stress-Reduction

Stress reduction is a concern for everyone in these busy and uncertain times. In this educational and participatory workshop series, we will learn and practice several different effective strategies for reducing everyday life stress, including mindfulness, meditation, yoga, visualization, guided imagery, cognitive restructuring, emotional health and regulation. Participants are encouraged to commit to attending all eight sessions. The group will meet once a week for an hour-and-a-half. Things to consider bringing for your own comfort: Comfortable clothing, yoga mat, pillow, and a beginners mind.

The 鈥淢anaging the CU-麻豆影院 Way鈥 training course is a two-day program which focuses specifically on the knowledge and skills necessary to be a successful manager at CU-麻豆影院. The training approach includes an overview of related policies and procedures, but will primarily focus on helping participants understand best practices and why they should care about these important topics.听
Participants will learn the following in an interactive and engaging training environment:
- Support and inspire employees with the CU-麻豆影院 culture, mission, vision and values
- Engage employees and foster a positive work culture from hire to retire
- Use effective recruitment and compensation strategies to attract and retain the best talent
- Manage and support employee performance
- Navigate performance issues and follow appropriate disciplinary processes when necessary
- Manage employee leave and accommodate requests
- Foster an inclusive learning and working environment free of discrimination and harassment
- Connect with the valuable resources available on the CU-麻豆影院 campus
New employees to the 麻豆影院, at all levels of management, who will be directly or indirectly supervising any Classified or University Staff; employees recently or soon-to-be promoted to a supervisory role over Classified or University Staff; and supervisors and managers seeking a refresher course or to elevate their existing skills and understanding of the unique aspects of managing at the 麻豆影院 are encouraged to attend.听
