On the third Monday of the month CU-麻豆影院 Today will publish a roundup of deadlines, calls for proposals and calls for nominations that have come through our information channels.

This month, the list includes important deadlines for Service Award Recognition, calls for nominations for medals, honors and the President鈥檚 Teaching Scholars Program, as well as calls for proposals for CU Women Succeeding and the Center for Asian Studies Summer 2015 courses in China, as well as many other granting and funding opportunities.

October 2013

Nominations accepted for the 2013 Chancellor's Committee on Race and Ethnicity (CCORE) Diversity Service Recognition Award.

American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant Committee call for听Applications for American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grants (ACS IRG).听The purpose of this grant program is to support the development of exceptional research projects that will help lead to the conquest of cancer and further the objectives of the CU Cancer Center. Funding for these grants is made possible by the American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant (ACS IRG 57-001-53)

听ASSETT invites proposals from Arts & Sciences faculty, departments and programs for awards relating to the use of technology primarily for teaching and learning. The maximum award possible is $5,000.

Call for nominations, University of Colorado 2014 Honorary Degrees, University Medals, and Distinguished Service Awards.听

CARTSS is offering two grant programs open to tenure-track faculty in the Social Sciences. Our Scholar Award program is a competitive grant program to support research activities of tenure-track faculty in social science departments. Our Seed Award fund provides start-up funds for planning research activities involving tenure-track faculty from one or more social science departments and colleagues from other fields or universities.听

听President Bruce Benson solicits nominations from University of Colorado tenured faculty for designation for the 2014 President's Teaching Scholars Program (PTSP). This is a lifetime appointment as a CU President's Teaching Scholar. It constitutes the University's highest recognition of excellence in and active commitment to learning, scholarly teaching and research.

CU Women Succeeding Professional Development Symposium:听The Faculty Council Women's Committee welcomes proposals for workshops, roundtables, book discussions, panels, and other听interactive and innovative formats focused on the theme of 鈥淓mpowerment for Excellence."

The Women鈥檚 Committee of the Faculty Council requests nominations for the 2013听Elizabeth D. Gee Memorial Lectureship Award. This award recognizes and honors an outstanding faculty member of the University of Colorado for efforts to advance women in academia, interdisciplinary scholarly contributions and distinguished teaching.

The Center for Asian Studies is now accepting applications from faculty for Summer 2015 courses to be taught in China and its neighbors. Faculty may propose offering a course again, or they can propose a new course. These courses should draw a diverse audience and encourage greater interest in East Asia among undergraduate students.
