On Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 8 a.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom, I will be presenting my fifth State of the Campus address to faculty, staff, students and the CU community.

This year marks my 40th academic year on the campus as a faculty member, dean and senior administrator, and this year my address will focus on this unprecedented time of change at the university, which I discussed earlier this year in this Chancellor’s Corner column: “Why change and innovation are the keys to our future.â€

I will review where we are on the changes we discussed at the , and provide an overall progress report on the sixth anniversary of the unveiling of the campus’s innovative .Ìý

There are myriad initiatives across campus that we are engaging in to reimagine how we do business, how we educate and how we research here at the Â鶹ӰԺ, which I will talk about.

A key area of focus I will discuss is how we are identifying new sources of funding,Ìý making innovationsÌý to serve our students, and building our reputation.

I want to encourage our entire community to attend the speech, read it or visit the media links to it on my website beginning on Tuesday ÌýOct. 15. What you will hear will let you know how to engage in the vital initiatives underway for CU-Â鶹ӰԺ for the coming year, and into the future.

Doors open at 7 a.m. and refreshments are provided. The speech begins promptly at 8 a.m.
