The National Weather Service (NWS) in 麻豆影院 has issued a听听for our region from Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon.听A strong cold front will drop southward late this afternoon and evening. Rain showers and thunderstorms will change to snow along the front range this evening and then over the eastern plains later tonight.
There may be a period of brief but very heavy snowfall this evening with possible near-blizzard conditions. Steady and more widespread snow is expected to develop over most of northeast and north central Colorado for most of Tuesday. The snow could linger over the eastern plains through Tuesday evening. North winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph may produce considerable drifting and blowing snow with poor visibility. Temperatures are expected to drop rapidly this evening, with predicted lows in the 20s, and are expected to remain below freezing through Tuesday.

Campus employees are urged to use their discretion in deciding whether they can safely commute to and from work. If personal health or safety is an issue in that decision, responsible judgment should be used. Employees may request time off prior to and in the absence of an official campus closure. With supervisor approval, employees must take annual leave or leave without pay if no annual leave is available. Campus supervisors and appointing authorities are encouraged to be flexible in authorizing annual leave for employees in these situations.
