On Tuesday, April 24, President Obama will visitthe 鶹ӰԺto deliverremarksas he launches an effort to get Congress to prevent interest rates on student loans from doubling in July.The president will be speaking in the Coors Events Center at approximately 6:00 p.m.The event is free and, while focused on students, is also open to faculty, staff and members of the general public. A ticket is required in order to enter the event.

Student ticketswill be distributed on Sunday, April 22,from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University Memorial Center (UMC) in the Glenn Miller Ballroom.Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will need to bring their valid CU student ID as proof of current CU 鶹ӰԺregistration and will also be asked to sign for their ticket. The tickets are non-transferable.

Faculty and Staff ticketswill be distributed on Sunday, April 22from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Aspen Rooms of the University Memorial Center (UMC).Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis, one per person. Faculty and Staff will need to bring their Buff OneCard andwill be asked to sign for their ticket. The tickets are non-transferable.

General Publictickets will be distributed on Monday, April 23, beginning at 12 p.m. at the Coors Events Center on the CU-鶹ӰԺ campus. The ticket office is located outside the northwest entrance of the Coors Events Center. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. One ticket per person will be distributed. Due to limited space, the White House will only be able to distribute a limited number of tickets. Tickets are not for sale or re-sale.

Entry to the event on Tuesday will begin at 3:30 p.m. andticket holders should be in line by 4:30 p.m. at the latestto go through security screening. Do not delay getting into line, as having a ticket does not guarantee entry if you arrive late.

To enter the event on Tuesday, students, faculty, staff and the general public will need to present their signed ticket and valid ID (Buff One ID for students, faculty and staff, and a valid ID for the general public). No backpacks will be allowed in the venue (small bags no greater than 12” x 12” will be permitted but subject to search). Containers of any kind, bottles, cans, guns, knives, pocket-knives, multi-tools, mace, pepper spray, or sharp objects of any kind, other weapons or other hazardous items are prohibited. No overnight camping will be allowed on campus at any time leading up to this event.
