麻豆影院 officials are urging CU fans to behave responsibly and to take buses or carpool with a designated driver to the 11:30 a.m. Rocky Mountain Showdown football game between CU and CSU on Saturday, Sept. 17, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High stadium in Denver.

"The Rocky Mountain Showdown with Colorado State University is a great opportunity to showcase our two universities," said CU-麻豆影院 Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano. "The sportsmanship that CU students and fans demonstrated against Cal last week -- qualities that Cal fans have been commenting on all week on their fan message boards -- should be even more abundant in Denver when we take on our friends and rivals from Fort Collins."

Student leaders from CU and CSU sent a joint email urging students from both schools to remember the consequences of their actions and display sportsmanship and class at Saturday's game.

"When our teams go head-to-head on Saturday, let's remember that while our schools compete both on and off the field, together we represent students of higher education and must act with sportsmanship and class," said CU Student Government President Andrew Yoder. "The Rocky Mountain Showdown is a proud tradition in Colorado. Show the nation your school spirit, be safe, and demonstrate the values our student bodies stand for."

Students and all other fans should be aware that there will be a large contingent of uniformed and plain-clothes officers from the Denver Police Department, University of Colorado Police Department and Colorado State University Police Department assigned to the event.

Officers will be directed to strictly enforce all applicable local and state laws and special attention will be focused on alcohol possession and consumption. Violators will be cited and/or arrested for violations and individuals found to be under the influence of alcohol that may pose a danger to themselves or others may be placed in a detoxification facility.

The names of all students cited, arrested and/or ejected from the property for any reason will be shared with the CU and CSU police departments and students may face administrative sanctions upon their return to campus. Fans with concerns about behavior while at Sports Authority Field can text RESPECT plus the message to 78247 or call the Fan Behavior Hotline at 720-258-3850 on game days.

No kegs are allowed on any Sports Authority Field property, including all parking lots. Sports Authority Field staff will be in the parking lots and will seize any banned items, including kegs. Sports Authority Field staff may eject unruly patrons from the site, including parking lots, and may seize their event tickets.

Officials are asking fans to start entering the stadium at least an hour before kickoff in order to avoid a last-minute scramble to get into the stadium.

Free transportation is available for CU students traveling from 麻豆影院 to Denver for the game. Buff Buses will begin loading at the Coors Events Center at 9 a.m. and will be available for the first 800 students who arrive. Students will need to show their student IDs to board the buses and free parking will be available in lot 436. Students should board buses immediately following the game to return to 麻豆影院.

Regional Transportation District, or RTD, buses also will provide transportation to and from the game from several Park-n-Rides. Buses will depart for the game starting about two-and-a-half hours before kickoff until about an hour before the game starts. Service will resume immediately following the game and will continue until 45 minutes after the game ends. For an RTD schedule visit .
