麻豆影院 police are investigating the report of a sexual assault between midnight and 1 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, in the area of University Hill. A female University of Colorado student told friends that she was approached by one to three males in a white sedan and sexually assaulted while walking from a party in the 900 block of University Avenue. One of the friends reported the incident to police. Investigators have spoken with the victim, but she has been unable to provide detailed information about what occurred.

At this time, the only description of the suspect(s) is that they are males. There is no other identifying information on the suspect(s) or the white sedan. Police are attempting to locate where this occurred and are asking members of the public who may have information about this case to contact detectives.

"We are at the very early stages of this investigation and there is considerable work that still needs to be done; however, we are releasing the information we know at this time to notify our community and seek the public's assistance," said Police Chief Mark Beckner. "I encourage anyone with information about this investigation to contact detectives immediately."

Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.

In the meantime, members of the community are reminded of the following safety precautions:

1. Travel in pairs or groups, especially during late night or early morning hours

2. Use well-lit and populated streets and sidewalks; avoid alleys

3. Be aware of your surroundings; carry a cell phone with you and call police to report anything that you feel is suspicious

4. Remember that alcohol can impede your ability to be aware of what's going on around you and in the event of a situation, to provide police with information

5. Report crimes immediately
