The University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 lost one of its own when 1st Lt. Tom Claiborne, of Parker, died in the tragic Oct. 29 mid-air collision near San Clemente, Calif. Tom was a CU Navy ROTC graduate in aerospace engineering in 2006. Our hearts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and all that knew him in our CU-麻豆影院 family.

Tom was an exceptional student, both in terms of academic accomplishments and his love of "hands-on" engineering. Tom's senior project, the Short TakeOff Wing, is still considered one of the finest experimental senior projects produced in the aerospace engineering department.
