Visitors planning to attend the Michelle Obama event at the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 on Wednesday, Oct. 1, are encouraged to use alternative transportation and to arrive early for the event scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. at CU-麻豆影院's Farrand Field.

Gates for the event open at 10 a.m. and no tickets are required for admission. The event is hosted by the University of Colorado Student Union and sponsored by the CU-麻豆影院 chapter of the College Democrats.

Campus officials recommend arriving early for the event in order to secure parking and permit easy entry onto Farrand Field. Local attendees are encouraged to carpool, ride their bicycles, walk or use the RTD bus service to get to campus.

People driving to the event are encouraged to park for free at Franklin Field, directly east of Folsom Field, and then walk a short distance south to Farrand Field. Parking also is available at the Euclid Autopark off Broadway and Euclid Avenue. Other parking, though greatly limited, is available on the eastern edge of the main CU-麻豆影院 campus off Regent Drive.

Off-campus parking is available at the Twenty Ninth Street mall, and people parking at the mall can take the HOP bus to campus for $1.75 from the bus stop south of Macy's. Volunteers from the College Democrats will be on campus to help visitors get to Farrand Field.

For security reasons, officials are asking attendees not to bring bags and to please limit personal items brought into the field complex. No signs or banners will be allowed.
