Student reporters and editors for the Campus Press at the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 will host an Open Forum on Tuesday, March 11, to discuss how the student publication can expand coverage of diversity issues on the CU campus.

The Open Forum will be in the University Memorial Center's Glenn Miller Ballroom from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Campus Press Adviser Amy Herdy also will attend.

Faculty members, student leaders, members of community diversity organizations and working journalists from across the Front Range will speak on striking a balance to effectively and sensitively cover diversity issues. Various guest speakers will be followed by an open question-and-answer period, which will include members of the Campus Press staff.

Another objective of the forum is to answer questions about Campus Press procedures and to invite interested students to be involved in the Campus Press by sharing stories and ideas, Herdy said.

The Campus Press is an online publication produced by a class of more than 60 students through the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. An opinion piece written by a student editor and published in the online publication in February angered student groups and led to calls re-examine the publication's procedures.
