As student leaders of the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院, we would like to let the entire campus community know of our concern regarding the events that occurred on Monday, August 27th, outside of the University Memorial Center.

We are working closely with the University's administration to enforce all safety plans throughout the campus. Though we recognize that this attack was an isolated incident, it is a reminder to all students, faculty, and staff to always be vigilant and aware of your own safety on the campus.

With that in mind, we have received a very important wake-up call about the need to remain informed of the events and emergencies occurring on campus at CU. We urge you to sign up for CU-麻豆影院's RAVE emergency text-messaging service by logging on to cuconnect.colorado.edu. This effective and timely service is free to you, takes only minutes to sign up for, and provides instant vital information and emergency notifications that impact the CU community.

In closing, we want to extend our support to our classmate, Michael Knorps, as he recovers from Monday's attack; reiterate that violence has no place in our campus community and encourage safe practices and mutual support among all in the CU-麻豆影院 family.

With best wishes for a great academic year,

Hadley Brown
