Two University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 graduate specialty programs were ranked in the top 10 nationally in a new but limited U.S. News & World Report graduate school rankings report scheduled for release March 30.
The CU-麻豆影院 School of Law's environmental law specialty program was ranked fourth in the nation in 2007, up five spots from 2006, while the specialty program of physical chemistry ranked 10th in the country.
Magazine officials said expanded specialty rankings for selected disciplines would be released on March 30.
Professional school programs in education, engineering, law, business and medicine were newly ranked in 2007. Doctoral programs in the biological sciences and chemistry and graduate programs in several health fields were newly ranked in 2007. Not all disciplines are newly ranked each year.
CU-麻豆影院 professional school rankings include the School of Law (tied for 36th, up from 43rd in 2006), School of Education (tied for 38th, up from 43rd in 2006) and the College of Engineering and Applied Science (ranked 40th). In addition, the CU-麻豆影院 doctoral program in chemistry was tied for 28th in the nation and biological sciences was ranked 33rd.
The results will appear in the 2008 edition of U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Graduate Schools, slated to reach newsstands on April 2.
