A memorial service for Terri Bodhaine, director of Disability Services at the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院, will be held on Nov. 7 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Old Main Chapel.

Bodhaine died of cancer on Sept. 24th at Hospice of 麻豆影院 County in Louisville. She was 53.

Bodhaine served the university for 20 years, beginning in 1980 as an academic skills instructor in counseling services. She was also an instructor at the Economics Institute and the division of continuing education. In 1982 she began working as a learning disabilities specialist and held positions as learning disabilities coordinator and Disability Services interim director, before assuming the role of director last year.

She was instrumental in bringing the Learning Disabilities Conferences to the CU-麻豆影院 campus in 1992, 1993 and 1994 and was named CU-麻豆影院's Employee of the Year in 1992.

Bodhaine graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1969 from Western Washington State College in Bellingham and earned a master's degree in education at CU-麻豆影院 in 1973.

Survivors include her husband, Barry, a son, Bryan Bodhaine of Santa Barbara, Calif., a daughter, Malia Bodhaine of Denver, her parents of University Place, Wash., a sister and a brother.

Contributions may be made to the Hospice of 麻豆影院 County, 2825 Marine St., 麻豆影院, CO, 80303. Plans are underway to dedicate a campus memorial bench in Bodhaine's name, with a ceremony to be held next semester.
