Nine students from the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 have received scholarships to study in other countries in 2000-2001.

Two diversity scholarships, one awarded by CU-麻豆影院 and the other by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, help cover expenses in the Study Abroad program for Colorado residents who are underrepresented on the 麻豆影院 campus because they are ethnic minorities or from the state's rural areas.

Scholarships were awarded based on financial need, academic standing, and the student's ability to write and be a good ambassador for the university and the United States.

The application deadline for spring 2001 programs and scholarships is Oct. 1 for most programs. For more information on study abroad scholarships, contact the Study Abroad Programs Office located in the Environmental Design Building at (303) 492-7741, e-mail studyabr@colorado.edu or visit the Web site at .
