With spring already in the air, 麻豆影院 area youngsters may be anxious to get outside during Spring Break, coming up for most local schools March 23 through March 27.

Science Discovery, an outreach program of the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院, may have just the prescription.

聯Spring Break Adventure,聰 a daily program for children ages 7 through 9, combines outdoor activities, games and excursions with crafts, experiments and science explorations for a week of integrated learning and adventure.

Taught by instructor Orah Elron, the class will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 23 through March 27. The starting point will be Fiske Planetarium, although Elron says the class won聮t sit still.

Planned activities include a trip to the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, a scavenger hunt at the CU Museum, a star show at the planetarium and, weather permitting, games and exploration in and around Chautauqua Park and other natural areas around 麻豆影院.

Science Discovery also has openings in some after-school courses starting immediately after Spring Break. Space is still available in Lego Mechanics 2 (for 9 to 11-year-olds), Lasers and Lights (9 to 11-year-olds) and Animals and Art 2 (for 7 to 9-year-olds).
