Brighton will host an exhibit of insect photographs as part of the CU This Summer cultural outreach program of the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院.
The exhibit, 聯Small Wonders: Insect Photos by Fran Hall,聰 will be shown from May 24 through Sept. 1 in the Adams County Museum, the local sponsor, at 9601 Henderson Road.
Museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Donations are requested.
Photographer Fran Hall, now in his eighties, will give a free public talk about his work on Sunday, June 8, at 4 p.m. in the Adams County Museum.
The color and black-and-white close-ups reveal the fascinating world of insects. A photographer since the 1930s, Hall聮s footage has been featured in a number of films distributed by Disney Studios. He was one of the first nature photographers to train his lens on animals other than birds, and his work helped establish the now-popular genre of 聯nature films.聰
