  • Greet and show them workspace聽
  • Show them where to put personal items (coat, lunch, etc.)聽
  • Meet coworkers who are in office聽
  • Go over agenda for the day/week聽
  • Tour of facility/office. Things to include on your tour could be:聽
    • Their workspace聽
    • Supervisor workspace聽
    • Restrooms/drinking fountain聽
    • Supply room聽
    • 笔谤颈苍迟别谤蝉听
    • Lunch/break room聽
  • Have IT liaison help new hire log in/get access to their work computer if this has not already occurred.聽
  • Set aside time to ensure an understanding of the technology/platforms your team uses and add them to necessary shared folders: Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, etc.聽
  • Have your first meeting with your new hire. Things to discuss in your first 1:1 include:聽
    • Parking and transportation聽
    • Establishing expectations聽
    • Work hours/schedule/lunch聽
    • Asking for time off (sick/vacation)聽
    • Best way(s) to communicate with you/the team聽
    • Dress code聽
    • Workplace norms/behaviors聽
    • In-person vs. virtual meetings expectations聽
  • Provide building/office keys if applicable. Have a team member walk them to Access Services if they need to pick them up.聽
