Fall Welcome is almost here, and you can be a part of this exciting tradition by volunteering to help with move-in and signature events. Â
Fall Welcome starts with new student move-in on Aug. 18 and continues through Sept. 6. Hundreds of staff, faculty and students volunteer each year to help make Fall Welcome a success. Whether you assist with move-in week or at events, there are many different volunteer roles and ways to help. Â
Here are three reasons to this year.Â
1. Create a positive experience for new Buffs and familiesÂ
Moving to a new place is much more enjoyable when you have friendly faces to help you out! As a Fall Welcome volunteer, you can help create a fun and positive experience for students and their families when they arrive on campus. Whether you volunteer for a move-in shift or at an event, you’ll have the chance to share your favorite tips about Â鶹ӰԺ and life on campus.Â
2. Do something fun with your department or groupÂ
A great way to break up your daily routine and bond with your peers and colleagues is through volunteering! As a volunteer, you get to be part of the excitement during Fall Welcome. Volunteering is a great way to step out of your usual role on campus and spend time helping our students kick off a new school year.  Â
Sign up for a few shifts with others from your group, student organization or department. Contact Andrew Alexander with questions about group sign-ups.Â
3. Get a CU Â鶹ӰԺ T-shirtÂ
Who doesn’t love a free T-shirt? When you sign up for any volunteer shift during Fall Welcome, you’ll get a CU Â鶹ӰԺ volunteer T-shirt and other gear to wear.Â
Volunteers are essential in creating a positive and welcoming experience for our new campus community members. !Ìý
