The Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) is excited to announce our slate of upcoming virtual workshops, available to all staff. Please read below for information about our workshops, and visit the FSAP workshop page to sign up.  

Women’s Fertility Group

October 25th & November 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th, Noon - 1:15 p.m.

By joining this group, you can learn how to manage difficult emotions and life challenges associated with your fertility diagnosis. It can offer a space where you can meet others who are in a similar situation, share in each other’s journey, and learn from each other’s experiences. 

Nutrition for Stress Management

November 2nd, Noon - 1:00 p.m.

Learn how to plan meals to reduce stress on your body for more energy, better mood, less sugar cravings and the increased ability to handle daily ups and downs. Hint – it starts with breakfast! This workshop is hosted by FSAP in conjunction with our partners at Elevations Credit Union.

The Memo: Helpful Tips for Women of Color to Secure a Seat at the Table

November 10th, Noon - 1:30 p.m.

This presentation will be a book review, by Miranda Hart, discussing the essential, pragmatic, and necessary guide for women of color to become successful in the workplace.

How to Tame Your Money

December 7th, Noon - 1:00 p.m.

While most of us would claim that we aspire to financial goals – home ownership, saving for retirement, putting kids through college – recent studies have shown that a large percentage of people between the ages of 25–40 are deeply in debt, living from paycheck to paycheck, and highly stressed about the direction of their financial lives. Attend this seminar to discuss ways to better control your finances. This workshop is hosted by FSAP in conjunction with our partners at Elevations Credit Union.

Mindfulness in Everyday Life

In this 6 week series, learn and practice several strategies for cultivating a mindfulness practice in the areas of the body, the emotions, the mind, and relationships. Practices will include mindfulness, meditation, cognitive restructuring, emotional awareness and regulation, communication, and movement.

The Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) is dedicated to serving the emotional and psychological needs of the campus community. All FSAP staff are trained as generalist counselors and are equipped to deal with a wide range of personal and work-related issues. Services are exclusively available to CU 鶹ӰԺ faculty and staff members and their families at no cost.

If you have been directly impacted by the Marshall Fire, FSAP is prioritizing counseling for you.

Mindset and Motivation for Health, February 2nd, Noon - 1:00 p.m.

In this interactive workshop you will identify your mission and learn goal setting tools so that you can become loyal to what makes you feel better. Since there are so many ways to get healthy, we’ll brainstorm together multiple options for incorporating healthy practices and overcoming resistance when life throws you a curveball.

New Moms Support Group, 6-week group meeting in March & April

Are you a new mother or a mother-to-be? Come join us for a 6-week group, meeting at the lunch hour over Zoom.  We’ll discuss the challenges of being a new mother while pursuing a career.  We’ll share ideas and offer support. Bring your lunches and your babies too!

Managing Energy Levels: Tools to Support Self-Regulation Throughout the Day, March 10th, Noon - 1:00 p.m.

Join us for a workshop dedicated to understanding how the body communicates the need for grounding or energizing with some useful practical tools from the field of Somatic Psychotherapy, which utilizes the wisdom of the body. This interactive session will provide time to practice and discuss the tools offered.
