This spring, Â鶹ӰԺ Campus Staff Council will be partnering with the Office of Data Analytics to issue two important surveys to the campus examining childcare and eldercare needs. It is imperative that we have widespread participation in these surveys to accurately define the needs of our campus community. The paid parental leave white paper, drafted by University of Colorado Staff Council, was based on survey data and feedback. The success of that effort - a new paid parental leave policy - demonstrates the value of your feedback. Please take a few minutes to participate in these next two surveys. Look for more information soon!

We are listening - Last chance to take the Staff Council Survey! /staffcouncil/2018/06/18/we-are-listening-last-chance-take-staff-council-survey We are listening - Last chance to take the Staff Council Survey! Our role is to represent the interests of our campus’ staff by advocating on a variety of issues, proposing policies, serving in an advisory role to administration, and facilitating a variety of events to bring collaborative opportunities to the campus.

In response to numerous requests that Staff Council advocate for paid parental leave, and after successful collaboration with CU administrative leaders, we were recently informed that CU Â鶹ӰԺ will be offering paid parental leave to eligible employees beginning July 1st. ; we listened and helped make it happen.

Staff also expressed concern about barriers in utilizing the employee tuition benefit so we drafted white-paper that highlights three proposals that will remove most of those barriers.

These surveys matter, and will direct the efforts of the council. Please take this  to tell us what issues Â鶹ӰԺ Staff Council should be focusing on for the 2018-19 year. Â鶹ӰԺ Staff Council survey will close, June 30, 2018.
