Tags: Blood Drive

This February, show your love in the most meaningful way – by donating blood! The CU 鶹ӰԺ Staff Council, in collaboration with longtime partner Vitalant, is thrilled to announce an upcoming blood drive! Each donation can save up to three lives, making a direct impact on individuals facing medical emergencies, surgeries, or chronic illnesses. Join us this February and help ensure that love flows where it's needed most!

Where: Student Recreation Center, Ice Rink Overlook

When:

  • Tuesday, February 4th, 2025: 10:00 AM- 2:30 PM
  • Wednesday, February 5th, 2025: 10:00 AM- 2:30 PM
  • Thursday February 6th, 2025: 10:00 AM- 2:30 PM

Why: Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Donating blood is a selfless and impactful act of kindness, and each donation can save up to three different lives. Hospitals in the area and medical facilities rely on voluntary blood donors to provide a steady blood supply for medical procedures, surgeries, and emergencies.

We are committed to achieving our blood drive goals and Staff Council is confident that the CU 鶹ӰԺ community will rise to the occasion. With your support and participation, we can surpass our February target of sixty-one units per day and make a remarkable impact with each donation.

How to prepare:

  • Review
  • Eat a healthy meal and stay hydrated before your donation appointment.
  • Bring a valid photo ID.
  • Try and get a good night’s sleep the day before.

Staff Council is committed to inclusivity and understands that some may not be eligible to donate. We invite all to be involved in other ways. For more information about volunteering at our events, please contact Staff Council at StaffCouncil@colorado.edu.

By donating blood on February 4, 5, and 6, 2025, you can help save lives and bring hope to those in need. Together, we can create a powerful difference for countless individuals in our community!
