This year鈥檚 two-day Virtual Conference will provide outstanding continuing education opportunities for Colorado clinicians from school-based and medical fields. The Virtual Conference occurs on Friday and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd, with live question-and-answer sessions with the presenters. In the spirit of our collective strength to advocate for our clients, colleagues and profession during these uncertain times, the theme of this year鈥檚 conference is 鈥淪uccess Through Challenge鈥�.

An added bonus of this year's virtual conference is that you will be able to take the courses offered through October 2021 鈥� so if you are busy on those dates or cannot commit to all of the sessions you are interested in, you can take them at your leisure at a future date. 

There will also be a which is important since ASHA has updated their standards to require at least 0.1 CEUs in ethics to complete your certification maintenance.

Additionally, we have our very own student, Cristina Donahue, who will be presenting a poster, in addtion to two of our faculty, Jen Walentas Lewon and Alison Lemke, who will also be presenting at the conference.

CU 麻豆影院's SLHS department will be attending the Graduate School Fair (GSF) at the ASHA Convention in Los Angeles in November. The GSF provides an opportunity for prospective graduate students to learn about our graduate programs including MA-SLP, MA Research, AUD, and PhD degree programs. Faculty, current students, and alumni will be at our table at the GSF on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday during the convention. We hope to meet many prospective students, share information about our programs, clinics, research, and faculty, and answer questions about what its like to live and go to school in beautiful 麻豆影院, Colorado. The Department of Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences at the 麻豆影院 is hosting this videoconference (which offers CEUs!).   The videoconference will be held in SLHS 230 (see ).  Our building is located on a hill next to the observatory. If you鈥檙e coming from Hwy 36, take the Baseline exit; turn west onto Baseline. At the 2nd stoplight (at Broadway), turn right. Keep right and turn right onto Regent Drive (the next stoplight). The first street on the right is Kittredge Loop Rd; turn right here. Take the first left (as it says, Kittredge Loop Rd is a loop, so there鈥檚 no sign here); you鈥檒l see the observatory as you look left. At the fork in the road, keep left. This will bring you to the parking lot (Lot 419). Parking is free on Saturdays in Lot 419 (the line of parking spots nearest the SLHS building; be sure to look for signs to be sure you鈥檙e in the appropriate lot!).
