Join your fellow wizards-in-training as we dive into science in the wizarding world! Every young wizard needs a wand to kick off their magical journey and we’ll learn about circuits as we create our own light-up wand. After practicing some spells, we’ll design our own magical spell and learn how to trick our brains with pictures that move. In astronomy, we’ll learn about our sun, moon and stars. We’ll enter the Potions Lab to test the consistency of troll boogers, test our taste buds with Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans, and learn about the science of flight as we build high-flying broomsticks. We'll wrap up the week with an exciting game of Quidditch and cool off with a homemade batch of Butterbeer. Join us for a STEM adventure that is sure to be a magical time!

CU Â鶹ӰԺ employs a framework for public health and COVID-19 decision-making that follows Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance. While masks are optional on the CU Â鶹ӰԺ campus, we encourage those who prefer to do so to continue wearing them.ÌýProperly fitted N95 or KN95 masks remain an effective tool for preventing transmission, especially in conjunction with vaccination. Students, parents and staff are encouraged to stay home if they are feeling sick or have COVID-like symptoms.Ìý
Feeling under the weather? You should begin isolation at home as soon as you:
- Begin to experience .
- Receive a positive test result for COVID-19, regardless of whether you have symptoms.
- Have been instructed to isolate by a healthcare provider or public health staff member.
When considering policy changes around COVID-19 transmission prevention, CU Science Discovery will adhere to all campus, county and Public Health guidelines.Ìý(Updated January 2024)
