CUbit and the AB Nexus Initiative invite you to a special event for researchers interested in exploring opportunities to leverage quantum science and technology to advance human health research. Ìý

The event will feature a keynote address by Geetha Senthil, PhD, Deputy Director of the NIH National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences and leads NIH efforts in quantum information science and quantum sensing in biology, followed by breakout sessions on key topics of interest.ÌýÌý

This event is designed to encourage open discussion, promote the exchange of ideas, and catalyze collaborations to position CU for success with emerging funding opportunities in this area of research.

Did you know the National Science Foundation (NSF) now PIs develop annual individual development plans (IDPs) for postdocs and graduate students supported by NSF funding?

Join the Research & Innovation Office, Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and Graduate School for a session focused on effective mentoring practices and the critical role IDPs play in the career progress and evaluation of postdocs and graduate students. In this workshop, you will enhance your mentoring skills, connect with other mentors and learn how to support your mentees in their career development and networking opportunities.

The session will be led by Pallavi Eswara, Director of Postdoctoral Affairs at Boston University.

Interested in applying for a or a ? Faculty are invited to a conversation on the David and Lucile Packard Foundation Fellowships and the W.M. Keck Foundation Research Grants. Previous Packard Fellows and Keck grant recipients will share their successful experiences and be available to answer questions. CU Â鶹ӰԺ's Office of Advancement will also provide information about what types of projects each foundation is looking to fund, and how to put together a successful application.

Please note that the Packard Fellowships and Keck Research Grants areÌýlimited submission funding opportunities,Ìýrequiring an internal competition to determine the applicant(s) that will submit proposals to each foundation. This workshop will be a great opportunity to learn about how to put together a competitive proposal in advance of the internal competition deadline for each opportunity.

On behalf of the Research and Innovation Office, Dr. Tanya Ennis invites scholars, researchers, creators and innovators to help launch a Scholar Learning Community focused on 1) applying for justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (JEDIA) funding opportunities, 2) developing JEDIA-related plans to meet agency requirements (e.g., NSF Broader Impacts Plans, Dept of Energy PIER plans), and 3) fostering a safe space for scholars to engage in mutual learning and support. Dr. Ennis is excited to work withÌýscholars across all colleges, schools, and departments! We invite you to participate in the Scholar Learning Community and three workshops offered this semester, providing a unique opportunity to connect with others across the university.

Register below for one or more of the three workshops supported by the university’s DEI Impact Grant with matching funds from RIO. Up to 40 participants will receive $250 for participation in all three workshops and in the Scholar Learning Community. This session will provide an overview of how to plan and generate ideas for broader impact research and activities. Participants will learn to utilize valuable resources like the ARIS toolkit and gain insight into the guiding principles and evaluation criteria set by the National Science Foundation. We will also review evaluation tool options, assessment rubric, and connect you with resources for successful planning
