The purpose of this program solicitation is to select an organization (Cooperator) to administer the Documentary Sustainability Project, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) aimed at strengthening the documentary filmmaking field through knowledge exchange, cross-sector collaboration, and research. The Cooperator selected as a result of this program solicitation will:
- Assemble a steering committee and a research working group to identify action items, strengthen cross-sector collaborations, and advise on the dissemination of field research;
- Provide a central liaison to the documentary filmmaking field;
- Develop and support activities to engage cross-sector stakeholders, including the public; and
- Create a centralized online resource of research and related materials of importance to the field.

Internal Application Requirements (all in PDF format)
- Project Narrative (up to 2 pages): Please provide a project description, including information on the following: expertise and experience that qualify you for this project, plans to develop and administer the project, and a rough project schedule.
- Project Team (up to 1 page): Please list key personnel and partners to be involved in the project.
- Budget Overview (up to 1 page): A basic budget outlining project costs is sufficient; detailed OCG budgets are not required. Please include information about the required cost share.

Applicant organizations may apply to other NEA funding opportunities, including Art Works, in addition to this program solicitation. In each case, the request must be for a distinctly different project.
Limited Submission Guidelines
An organization may submit only one proposal under this program solicitation.

This Cooperative Agreement requires a nonfederal cost share of at least 50% of the Cooperative Agreement amount.
