Annual spotlight on research, scholarship and creative work aims to strengthen community

The Research & Innovation Office (RIO) and other campus partners are soliciting presenters for poster sessions that will be a part of the first annual CU 麻豆影院 Oct. 15-19, 2018, a weeklong听celebration and showcase听of听research, scholarship听and creative work.

The activities and events scheduled for the week are intended to bring the campus community together and demonstrate the broad impact of the work of CU 麻豆影院鈥檚 faculty, researchers, postdocs, students and staff. In addition to boosting visibility for the work of the campus, the week is designed to create听opportunities for collaboration and recognize exceptional leadership and outcomes.听

Additionally, select听events are designed to听appeal to audiences beyond campus, such as the 麻豆影院 community, industry partners, the entrepreneurial ecosystem and more.听

Poster sessions offer opportunities for visibility and collaboration

Three different poster sessions, integrated into several of the week鈥檚 events, will provide opportunities for a range of presenters颅鈥攗ndergraduates, grad students, postdocs and faculty鈥攖o share their work with others.

Poster presentations are听currently being accepted.听Presenters may choose from the following options:

  • Monday, October 15th (4:30鈥5:30 p.m.听and听6:30鈥7:30 p.m.)听at the University Memorial Center, as part of听Research & Innovation Week's opening session, .听
  • Tuesday, October 16th听(10:30鈥11 a.m.,听12-1 p.m.听and听3:30鈥4 p.m.)听at SEEC as part of the听.
  • Friday, October 19th听(11:55 a.m.鈥1:10 p.m.)听at SEEC听as part of the听Community Building Colorado-Style Conference.

A full slate of opportunities for faculty, students and staff to engage

罢丑别听activities for the week听include a full schedule of events designed to shine a light on work of all kinds taking place across campus. Each day is built around a broad theme to encourage diverse contributors and participants rather than existing department- or college-based groupings. Themes for the days are:听

  • Innovate + Research (Monday)
  • Cultivate + Health (Tuesday)
  • Imagine + Creativity (Wednesday)
  • Discover + Space (Thursday)
  • Sustain + Tomorrow (Friday)

Note: Some events require registration. Details on each can be found at the听Research & Innovation Week website, where additional events are still being added to the schedule.听

The week will also include other components, such as an invitation to 鈥渂ring your research, scholarship and creative work to class鈥 and social media components鈥攗sing #CU麻豆影院Impact鈥攖o engage people beyond the physical events of the week.听
