Dear [first],

A hold has been placed on your account because the Social Security number (SSN) in your CU Â鶹ӰԺ record doesn't match the SSN in your National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) record.

This hold does not prevent registration. However, until you resolve this issue, you won't be able to access the NSC Student Self-Service Site, where you can print free enrollment verifications for insurers, scholarship sponsors or other organizations that require proof of your enrollment.

Your Next Steps

To clear this hold, visit the Office of the Registrar with a valid photo ID and one of the items listed below:

  • A Social Security card or other Social Security Administration document showing your name and SSN
  • A copy of a state or federal tax document with your name and SSN
  • An employment record containing your name and SSN
  • A military document showing your name and SSN (e.g., military ID card)
  • A government-issued driver's license, permit or ID showing your SSN
  • A tribal ID card with your name and SSN
  • A medical benefits card with your name and SSN
  • An approved FAFSA form

Do not email anything containing your SSN; it could put you at high risk for identity theft.

The Office of the Registrar is located in the Regent Administrative Center, room 101. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
