Food for Fines Returns!
Do you have unpaid parking citations issued before November 1st, 2019? Are you looking for an easy way to pay them off and help the community at the same time? November 11 through 15, 2019 (from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), through collaboration with , CU 麻豆影院 Parking Services invites you to pay off your unpaid CU 麻豆影院 parking fines with canned food instead of cash!
Harvest of Hope Pantry provides healthy supplemental food to 麻豆影院 families and individuals in need of food assistance. The pantry is similar to a neighborhood food market, except their food is free to their 鈥渟hoppers.鈥 Anyone with a valid I.D. and proof of 麻豆影院 residency can shop at the Pantry!
Items most needed by the Pantry are peanut butter, canned chicken/tuna, cereals (whole grain preferred), chili with beans, canned beans, carrots, corn, peas, fruit and chunky style soups and regular or travel sized hygiene products. Other items will still be accepted. Food items will not be accepted if they are damaged, opened, missing a label or expired. Sorry...glass jars/containers cannot be accepted.
For those making donations, parking will be available in lot 440 (south of Parking Services) at no charge from 11:00 a.m. 鈥 3:00 p.m. on donation dates. Parking will be limited to 15 minutes. The donation table, where your food items will be received, will be at the west entrance of the Parking Services' lobby. (Please have your photo ID and license plate number ready to quickly access your account.)
