CU Psychology and Neuroscience Assistant Professors聽Mike Baratta and Dave Root (both Behavioral Neuroscience) were in the news, being interviewed聽by CU 麻豆影院 Today about some research of theirs recently published in Molecular Psychiatry. Their research, using an animal model of stress and stress resilience, demonstrated that targeting a region of the brain called the ventral tegmental area (VTA), showed that animals聽who had that region temporarily shut down showed no ill effects of previously stressful events compared to animals that had not had that region silenced.
