dick jessor; photo by glenn asakawaCU Psychology and Neuroscience Distinguished聽Professor聽Richard Jessor (Social)聽is retiring after 70 years of service, the longest-serving member of the CU 麻豆影院 faculty in history. As a young man, he was shaped profoundly by serving in Marines during World War II, including 4 weeks聽on the island of聽Iwo Jima. He was hired by the CU 麻豆影院 Psychology Department in 1951. Among his numerous聽contributions to CU, a major one was the co-founding聽of the in the late 1950s. He also served its director聽from 1980 to 2001.
