From the BFA website: 鈥淭he selection committee looks closely at the nominee's pedagogy,聽especially innovative practices, and considers letters from students and colleagues. Emphasis should be on actual classroom teaching and pedagogy. 聽Student letters should focus on the unique attributes that make the nominee an excellent professor and mentor.鈥� Besides the honor of being recognized by her peers, the award also comes with a significant monetary prize.
