For my capstone, I worked on the sound design and recording for my animated episode of Trash Island. I mixed and recorded the actors' voices, sound effects, and music to create a complex soundscape for this animation.

I created the short pilot for an animated series reflecting on the environment called Trash Island. I did the script, storyboard, directing, and animating for my honors thesis. However for the capstone, I worked on the sound recording of actors, sound effects, and music. I spent several hours with the actors doing table-reads, meetings for their voices, rerecording, teaching how to use a zoom H5, and the entire recording session. During the main recording session, we would work on the script, structured improv, all the vocal sound effects, and vocal scoring. While working with the actors was very important and time-consuming, I also spent time creating and mixing sounds for ambience, foley, and music. My work was done in Adobe Audition, after re-teaching myself the software during the pre-production.
