Self-Destruct - Quinton
Music/ Audio
5 track EP, 15:52
Destruction is inevitable. Innately, we function to survive for as long as we can. But what happens when we begin to destroy ourselves? What evokes this pernicious mindset? While we may not destroy ourselves, the thoughts of doing so shine light on a piece of our character many choose to ignore, but that part of us has a voice, a voice worth listening to.

I’ve always been fascinated by how quickly destruction operates. It can take years to build something but only seconds to demolish. I wanted to analyze how creating and destroying works within emotions. ÌýOvertime I found that the volatility of impermanent emotions greatly influence self-destructing actions. Emotions are ephemeral and the polarity between contrasting feelings can lead us down a path of exacerbated emotional volatility. I took my copious feelings and expressed them through music. This short EP takes an abstract look inside my mind while under the influence of certain emotions.
