LIGHTHOUSES IN THE WINDOW SILL is an experimental documentary that combines archival footage and poetry. The film follows Lane’s relationship with his mother up until her passing in 2017.

This is a poetic exploration of my childhood memories with my mother. We never fully realize that our parents have faults until we are adults. This project explores those memories and the underlying faults carried within them. It was a cathartic experience to create this project as it fell near the 6th anniversary of her passing. This is dedicated to my mom. She kept me safe, never failed to make me laugh, and supplied endless love.
