A review of undergraduate Mechanical Engineering programs at 100 universities worldwide found only 43 that included sustainability topics in at least one required course, and seven included sustainability in five or more courses.

Engineering Education faculty affiliate Noah Finkelstein of physics, along with Valerie Otero of education, have won the 2023 Svend Pedersen Award and Lecture from Stockholm University.

Teaching Associate Professor Mike Soltys was selected as the 2023 winner of the Charles A. Hutchinson Memorial Teaching Award, which recognizes faculty who have made outstanding contributions to teaching.
