Project Description

The NIST Quantum Sensors Group (QSG) designs, builds, operates, and analyzes cryogenic systems for cooling quantum sensors and related circuits.  The QSG strives to identify methods to reduce the size, weight, and power consumed by these cryogenic systems.  The QSG also studies fundamental physical processes and material properties that might enable improved cryogenic systems.  This is applied research.
