Application
Students, faculty, and industry professionals are welcome to attend CLASP affiliated events and colloquia on a drop-in basis. Students and faculty who wish to attend the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 as a designated Visiting Scholar must apply to the CLASP Visiting Scholars program.
Application Materials
The application includes the items listed below:
- Faculty support: Each visiting researcher must have a CLASP-affiliated faculty member who has agreed to mentor the researcher during their tenure at CU. The level of mentorship will vary from faculty member to faculty member, depending on the professor鈥檚 current research and teaching load. The applicant should mention their faculty mentor鈥檚 name in their cover letter.
- Cover letter: Please include a cover letter detailing why you are applying to the Visiting Scholars program, how it will aid in your overall research and career, and any other information you deem relevant to your application.
- Statement of funding: All CLASP Visiting Scholars must have their own source of funding, either from a grant or their home institution. Please provide a statement and any necessary paperwork detailing your funding plans.
- Research statement: Please include a short research plan (1-2 pages) explaining what research you will be working on during your time as a visiting researcher, as well as other information relevant to your research plans (i.e. a conference you plan on attending, data you are collecting, etc.).
- CV: Please include an updated copy of your CV.
Deadlines
Completed applications may be emailed to the CLASP Faculty Advisor Kira Hall, kira.hall@colorado.edu. The following deadlines apply for the applicant鈥檚 desired start date:
For fall semester: March 31
For spring semester: October 31
