Outstanding Postdoc & Mentor Awards

Annually, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs offers Outstanding Postdoc and Outstanding Postdoc Mentor Awards recognizing exceptional postdocs and postdoc mentors.

The Outstanding Postdoc Awards recognize Postdoctoral Associates or Postdoctoral Fellows who demonstrate excellence in research, communication, and leadership. Nominees must be nominated by a faculty member and have completed at least 3 months of postdoctoral service at CU Â鶹ӰԺ at the time of application.

The Outstanding Mentor Award recognizes a tenure-track faculty member or Adjoint Professor who provides exemplary mentoring, training, and leadership to postdoctoral scholars at CU Â鶹ӰԺ. Mentors must have completed at least 3 months of postdoctoral mentoring at CU Â鶹ӰԺ at the time of nomination, and cannot have received an Outstanding Mentor Award in the past.

PAC Â鶹ӰԺ Travel Awards

The Postdoctoral Association of Colorado (PAC) Â鶹ӰԺ provides grants to support postdoc travel to conferences. The awards (up to $500) assist with registration fees, lodging, airfare costs, and/or food. In order to be eligible for this award, you will need to answer two questions in 200 words or less:

1. What are you presenting at the conference?
2. How will attending this conference benefit your career?

Along with this, you will need to provide proof that you have submitted an abstract to the conference you will want to attend. These answers will be evaluated by a PAC committee, as well as two faculty members, to determine the recipients of the travel awards. For more information, visit the website.

PAC Â鶹ӰԺ Research/Outreach Grant

The Postdoctoral Association of Colorado (PAC) Â鶹ӰԺ offers $500 biannual grants for research needs or towards new or continuing outreach programming. The application consists of a maximum of 500 words describing the proposed research/outreach project, and the motivation and impact of the project on your scientific field and/or the broader community. Applicants should also provide a description of how the PAC Â鶹ӰԺ Research/Outreach Grant will impact the progress of the proposal and/or your career development? For example, will the funds contribute to part of a larger project, kick-start a new project, allow a new research direction, facilitate new opportunities for community science, etc. For more information, visit the PAC Â鶹ӰԺ Research/Outreach Grant website.
