The Michael Hoelscher Memorial Scholarship is awarded to one junior or senior each year who demonstrates the character and leadership of the late Michael Hoelscher (PLC 87鈥�) . After his passing on Mt. Kilimanjaro, his parents, Lee and Joan Hoelscher, dedicated an annual financial award to a student of the Presidents Leadership Class who, through school and extra-curricular work, demonstrates a quest for learning, a true concern for others, a diversity of experience, and does all of this with goal-oriented determination.
