How the Match Program Works
- Opt-In
Both alumni and students 鈥渙pt-in鈥� to the program, ensuring all participants are eager and excited to connect. - Fill Out Your Profile
Complete the听PLC AMP Match Form, where you鈥檒l share your personal information, career interests, goals, and preferences for the match. Be specific! The more we know about your interests, the better we can match you with alumni in related fields. - The Matching Process
The Connection Team will match you to one alumnus for every semester you join based on your career interests and areas of expertise. You will receive your match(es) by DATE, including contact information (name, email, phone number). - Make the Connection
Once you鈥檝e received your matches, it鈥檚 your responsibility to reach out to the alumni. Don鈥檛 hesitate鈥攖hey are just as excited to connect with you! Initiate a conversation via email or phone to introduce yourself and start the dialogue.
Your Role as a Student
Participating in PLC AMP gives you the opportunity to build meaningful connections that will guide your future. Here鈥檚 what you鈥檙e expected to do:
- Take Initiative: Don鈥檛 be shy鈥攐nce you receive your match, reach out promptly. Your alumni mentors are looking forward to hearing from you.
- Be Open to Learning: Ask questions about their career journey, challenges they faced, and any advice they might have for you. The more you engage, the more you鈥檒l gain from the experience.
- Foster the Relationship: Keep communication consistent, and be clear and timely in scheduling calls or meetings. Professionalism in your interactions will leave a lasting positive impression.
