Elizabeth joined the Office of Victim Assistance in early July 2018 as the Assistant Director.Ìý In fall 2021 Elizabeth was promoted to the Associate Director of the office and promoted again to the SeniorÌýAssociate Director in July 2024 . Originally from the East Coast, she received her BA in Psychology and English from the University of Virginia and her Masters (MS) in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University Maryland.Ìý Before joining OVA, Elizabeth was a counselor at the Trauma Disorders Program at Sheppard Pratt Health System, a top-ranked behavioral health hospital in Baltimore, MD. There she provided individual and group counseling, consultation, and psychoeducation to an inpatient and outpatient population of survivors of trauma.

Prior to her work in trauma-informed counseling, she served in Ukraine as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where she led a group of volunteers as the President of the Gender and Development Council, focusing on education for adolescents and young adults about a range of issues, including gender equality and interpersonal violence prevention. She takes an eclectic approach to counseling, incorporating psychodynamic theory, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based techniques. Elizabeth is passionate about providing trauma-informed, culturally relevant counseling and advocacy services to diverse populations.
