Anne-Marie Moyes worked worked as a public defender in Tennessee for more than a decadeÌýprior to joining KWIP in 2019. In Tennessee, she was a trial attorney with the Metro Nashvile Public Defender's Office for two years, and then spent eleven years doing appellate and habeas work for the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Tennessee. Over the course of her career, she has participated in three exonerations, and hasÌýhandled numerous trials, direct appeals, and federal habeas cases.ÌýShe manages KWIP’s daily operations and is the lead attorney on many of our active cases. She alsoÌýsupervises law student volunteers and coordinates litigation partnerships with pro bono attorneys and law firms. She received her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in 2002.
